This discovery coin was struck without Barber’s initial on the ribbon. They were struck in silver, copper, aluminum and brass. Marks include German Silver and E.P.N.S (electroplated nickel silver). It will not polish to the high shine possible with silver alloys. It is an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc.
